Kanamara matsuri - Japanese Penis Festival

It's Sakura Time in Japan. Normally I'd post some photos of them, but I'm sure you'd all rather read about this. It's called the Honen Matsuri (the previous link is to Kanamara's particular one). Yes it's for real. Yes, I attended a few in Japan (and even participated in the phallus games in my own city of Ninohe). They are pretty fun, everyone has a blast...and it never lacks that surrealism you would imagine.
