Rhetoric

In contrast to my attempt to elucidate fallacies in arguments, I came across a great article (hat tip to Phil Berkun) about the "dangers" of rhetoric (I put danger in quotes cause, really, it's not dangerous, just hidden via subterfuge and the like in politics).

It's like when the Republicans call Obama an elitist....as if he wasnt the one raised on food stamps and McCain was a wealthy military brat. Talk about rhetoric! (I wont mention the fact that, as a society, having an elitist president is a good thing...)

anyway, its a highly recommended read....and I'll post Part 2 when it comes out.
